Now (to be very truthful) I was not necessarily excited when we found out. In fact I cried for a day and a half (because when you have a three year old and an at the time nine month old and you find out you're going to have another one...FUCK). After a few days of the initial shock wearing off we felt a little better about it. And after a few weeks we finally stepped back and thought 'if this is the curve ball God is going to throw our way then we are unbelievably blessed.' And I say curve ball because this was a 'surprise' not an 'oops.' The difference being that a 'surprise' happens despite your best efforts to be 'careful' (i think you all know what i mean). There are so many more things I could say right now, but I'll stick with the short version for the time being. Make sure you head over to Beth's blog and see what everyone else captured.
How to Transition From Bottle to Sippy Cup

OMG! I had the exact same reaction when I found about my second. It was not planned and at a time when we thought it would be the worst timing...and you know what? She's almost 7, and it has turned out alright. Sometimes you just need the time to accept. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!! I completely understand how you feel feel! Both of my kids were surprises despite our best efforts at birth control! Of course, I wouldn't trade them for the world, but I remember that initial shock, and I even said FUCK a few times myself!!!
ReplyDeleteHere's to a healthy, comfortable pregnancy!!
Congratulations! That was kind of how I felt with my first one. We had only been married 3 months and I was freaking out! It will all work out though. I hope you're feeling okay!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!! Congratulations! I would have felt the same way... but it'll all work out and be wonderful :) Good luck, hang in there!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Congrats!!!
ReplyDelete(okay, so I have a 3 year old and almost 9 month old and have been feeling I should test... I am about ready to freak out. I will be back for support if it comes up positive!)
Congrats! I think I would have the exact same reaction if I found out I was pregnant again. Wowser.
ReplyDeleteCongrats... great picture... exciting news for sure!! Maybe a BOY??
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, and love the photo btw!
ReplyDeleteMy first son was only 7 months old when I had my 'surprise'. It's hard work but worth it.
Blessings to you all :-)
Tee Hee!!!
ReplyDeleteDoes this post bring back memories!
ReplyDeleteFirstly, Congratulations. It IS a blessing, even if you were exactly READY for it.
Second, someday when that babe is running around smiling it's little gap-toothed smile you will look at your husband and say "WOW, I can't imagine our family being ANY different. God sur knew what he was doing."
Blessings to you and your family.
First, didn't your mama teach you any manners???? What's with the F bomb? Second, I'm so glad you finally posted about this. Now, I can tell all my blogging friends the good news. Last, it is all going to be fine. You know I'm always right. Haha, I just sounded like your dad! Love you!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow! Congratulations! Such a wonderful blessing, babies are. Challenging, but a blessing. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new baby. I cried for a few days we we were surprised with our second son. It passed after awhile. He is now 2 and we are so happy for our little slip up. Your blog is cute I will have to come back and check it out!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! I can understand that F-bomb completely! If it helps, I've heard the transition from 2 to 3 is WAY easier than the transition from 1 to 2. I don't know personally, because I'm terrified of having 2! LOL
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! What a wonderful picture to announce such wonderful news. Just so you know, all six of our children were close together and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I think they're actually easier with a sibling close to the same age!
ReplyDeleteOh wow congratulations. You definetely win for the most meaningful photo!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I can definitely see how there might be tears at first...but you are going to do great as a mommy of three! And doesn't mommy of three have a nice ring to it? Maybe you'll get a boy and he will get to have two wonderful big sisters!
ReplyDeleteI'm way behind on blogs, but oh my gosh, your honest reaction to the news made me laugh SO much. Congratulations! I truly have heard that going from two to three is no sweat.
